Couples could benefit from secured loans

Couples in the UK who have financial worries are advised to keep their options open in the current economic climate and consider secured loans new research suggests.

Research carried out by Callcredit, a UK credit reference agency suggests that about twenty per-cent of UK couples have concerns about money at present, and if one of the partners was to loose their job, they could be faced with real troubles as they think they may only be able to manage for a month.

The research found that over a quarter of couples have no savings at all and they may want to consider consolidating their debts or take out a secured loan.

Head of Callcredit’s website Owen Roberts commented that this year could be a difficult one for couples. He commented, “Arguments over money can cause real problems in a relationship.”
